I had a haircut here earlier today. It was the most awkward and negative haircut experience I’ve ever had in my life - and I’ve had bad and mediocre haircuts all over the world and with people cutting my hair where we couldn’t even speak the same language. This one was the worst. In my home country no less. The guy was rude, impatient, rushed, wasn’t listening to me, and even when I brought things up he would cut me off and tell me what he was going to do, and would get irritated even if I tried to request or suggest something. I got the “don’t give a crap” vibe as soon as the clippers started buzzing and should have listened to my gut and got up and left right then, but it was just too late and I just submitted to the fact I wasn’t going to be happy and at least it was going to be cheap (based on other reviews) and that hair grows back…then it ended up being $30! 🤦🏻♂️This was at best a $12 haircut, with tip. The shop was super dirty, hair clippings everywhere, generally cluttered and messy, his cutting weaponry was just a mess all strewn about the counter - barbaside bin looked like someone poured toilet cleaner in a toilet bowl and then didn’t finish scrubbing the toilet, place smelled like cigarettes, the guy was actually rough with the blow drier with the big comb attachment just scraping it into my scalp like he was trying to draw blood, even when he washed my hair he was like gouging his fingernails into my skull like he was trying to gain access to my brains with his bare hands. The whole process felt like I was on a hidden prank show, honestly. If there would have been anyone else in the shop I would have spoken up and stood up to him, but it was just me and him…and felt if I said anything else, based on the first couple times I said anything, he might just slit my throat with a straight razor and call it a day. On top of it, the haircut is no bueno either. If I could give zero stars I would. Lucky I still do have hair, and that hair will grow back. In short - I wouldn’t recommend. The only sensation I get from Hair Sensation is utter dissatisfaction.
